This is the first message in 2018 ... and it's almost June! We will, in fact be leaving for our cabin and Yellowstone the day after tomorrow. The Beartooth Pass has 20+ foot drifts. and it has taken 7 weeks to open. If anybody is going to get near the NE entrance of the Park, please send me a message at mfhansen@wisc.edu, and you must stop to say hello. I'm getting to the point where I've done as much family finding as I'm likely to do. We expect to be in Seattle in August for a wedding, and perhaps will have some opportunity to meet or re-meet some of you.
The DNA matches keep coming, and there are more by far from the Norwegian line than either my Danish or Pomeranian lines. If any of you have missed my Family books, here is the URL for Norway:

I had really hoped to get to Norway this year for one last visit. My six close cousin sister's are down to the last one and Dorte is past 90. Maybe next year ... since I'll be a youthful 88, if I get there before September.

Marc, I finally got to Norway this month. It was only to the western fjord coastland on a cruise but I got to spend sight-seeing time in Eidfjord and Geiranger and then a day in Alesund and a day in Bergen. What a beautiful country and wonderful people! With this appetizer, I am already planning for more extensive stays. I took so many pictures, I will try to put up a new post on my blog which hasn't had any posts for 6 months. Hope you get there by next year. We, too, are headed for Seattle and Salem, OR to see family but most likely in Septemebr or October. Have a lovely trip!
