This is my first real Post of 2017. Looking back, I guess that the problem that I've been dealing with the last two days is older than I thought. But I hope that we can restart a real conversation. I suppose that the big news of that last couple years is the role that DNA sample matches are now playing. You can look at my 2016 Post and see the connection between me (us) and several familiar persons. The familiar names are reassuring, but the unfamiliar ones are more challenging and interesting. Ones that are still untangled, but I believe go back to Telemark and Drangedal are Leppen, Ohme, and Hansen, all of which go back to Naas, but haven't been worked out or settled.
I have started to spend a bit of time on Geni. I agree with the Geni path back to Halvard 'Graatopp'. Depending on whom his father actually was, the line goes back a couple of generations ... or 35! There are still lots of things to ponder and explore.
