I think that Google and Blogger have been having some problems. One of the things that people have been asking for help with is the disappearance of the Followers 'gadget' and the small Follower Box that should be just above it. Being a registered Follower is important because that allows you to make comments, and thus start discussions. One of the things that I would like to see is for more of you who have not introduced yourself, and your connection to the Reunion and to the other 'cousins', to make a comment of the Page for Introducing Ourselves.
I think that I have recovered the Follow Box. I registered my granddaughter as a 'follower', by a complex method which I fumbled through. I registered her for Blogger, which means she could now start a blog. After that I found an option whereby she could become a follower of other blogs, and when we entered tnreunion.blogspot.com, as a blog to follow, she appeared on the Reunion follower list AND the follow box reappeared. Hmmm.
At any rate, I think that the box is present again, and when you click it, it takes you to a page where you click the Google box, and it asks you enter your gmail address and password ... and you thereby become a Follower. You might first be taken through a couple of steps to acquire a Google address if you don't already have one. You then become a Follower.
I'll know that you have succeeded, because your name will appear on the list (currently 19). You will know that you are a follower the next time you go to the site, or when you go to a comment box, for instance the one on the page for 'introducing ourselves'. There you can add your comment/introduction and press the post button.
If the Follow box again disappears, clicking on the Follow option at the top Left of the page should take you to the same process. Good Luck ... for you and for my instructions!
For anybody who would like to be able to start your own topics by 'Posting' a new message, you need to become a 'contributor' aka 'Author'. This only requires that you let me know, and I will invite you to do that. The number of 'contributors' is unlimited, and I could make all Followers ... Contributors. It's easier for if you let me know of your interest. Several of the recent Posts are by other Contributors. There are certainly many more cousins to find.
