The 'Virtual Reunion' was created as a means to 're-connect' descendants of the one daughter (Asborg) and three sons (Knud, Ole and Elling) of Thyge Knudsen Naas, the eldest son of Knud Thygesen Naas (1760) The titling of the blog, with their grandfather's name, opens the door to other descendants of their father's (and mother's!) siblings. Yvonne Morehouse is such a descendant, and she asked how she could add to our discussions, and share her part of our collective story. Yvonne is descended from Thyge Knudsen's younger brother Knud Knudsen, and his son Andreas. Yvonne has introduced herself on the comments of the Post that I created for that purpose, and you can meet her or contact her there.
The new page I have added is entitled 'Other Descendants of Knud Thygesen Naas (1760), is intended to facilitate the enlarged discussion, and is open for comments. If anyone has text or pictures that should be added to the page, I will be happy to do it by editing the page, adding the new material.
I will also move several of the early posts about Naas, and pictures of Naas, to a page for pictures and history of Naas and the related farms. Anyone interested will be able to use the comments for the new pages to open and continue a broader discussion. The Blogger system does not allow any pictures or text files to be placed in comments. I will happy to see that they get put on the 'Virtual Reunion' if any are sent to me. As administrator of the blog, I am the only person who can do that, but I can move pictures, that anyone else has sent, to an appropriate place. Such material would need to be sent to me in a separate email, unless you have accepted a role as 'author' or 'contributor', in which case you can put them in a Post. So far, only Jean and Yvonne have agreed to be contributors. I will be delighted to invite anyone else who would like to be a contributor.
There turns out to be the capability to add up to ten free standing pages (i.e. separate from the Home Page, which receives and holds all new Posts). Please suggest ways that you would like to see such pages used. I have added some small family trees to each Thygesen sibling's page. Using different formats, it would be possible to add larger ones to a dedicated 'Tree' Page, if that would be of interest.
It isn't clear to me if people are finding the virtual reunion to be interesting and useable. I will welcome comments and suggestions.
