An Update

Since the last post, a number of new people have joined.  I encourage everyone to use the comments under 'A Place for Introducing Ourselves'  to ... introduce yourself!   In addition, I have made a start adding material to the pages that I created for each of the four Thygesen siblings.  My hope is that someone from each line will take charge of those pages, and begin to add material.  I'll take responsibility for Knud Thygesen Naas (1822).   It may be necessary to use the comment function to add the material.  Having created the pages, I may be the only one who can add material to the original post, but I would be happy to receive anything in the form of comment or email, and then add it to, or replace, the original post.  I could also cooperate with someone to take over the contributor function for the page, by deleting my original page, and creating a new one under new authorship.

Pictures can only be added to posts, and posts need 'contributors'.   If you are a 'follower' but not a conributor, it will be necessary to go through me, or a 'contributor', as an intermediary for pictures that you would like to add.  Anybody who would like to be a contributor should notify me, and I will invite you to do that.  There is no reason why anybody who would like to be a 'contributor (author)' can't be added.  I think the limit is 100!

It turns out that all the pictures that are added to the blog automatically get entered into a folder within the Google Picasa system.  When I figure out how to reference that, I will add a lot of pictures that I have so that everyone can access them, even if they do not appear on the blog itself.

The value and growth of the blog will depend on our using it, and sharing what we know about this part of our history.  I invite all to enjoy and learn!
