Facebook Group

The TNReunion group has swelled(?) to 33, though I know that many more have looked at it.  People seem to find the 'join/member' function confusing or intimidating.  Several years ago I set up a Facebook Group, hoping that it would attract appropriate interest, but it failed, attracting only two of you.  I confess to not being enthusiastic about Facebook myself, finding if very 'busy' and even pushy, but I'm obviously out of step with the rest of the world.  So I adjusted the settings to make it more visible to the public.  It also provides a straightforward way to get to the virtual reunion, and perhaps an easier way to participate.

For obscure reasons, the 'member connect' function on the blog doesn't seem to work for me, and when I tried to reach and greet the new 33rd member (a cousin in Norway), I failed.  But then one of my Norwegian cousins gave me the URL for her Facebook page ... and that led me back to re-thinking how the group was set up.  So now all you have to do is 'like' the TNReunion Group. I think.  I'll be interested in hearing from you if you try it, and would welcome advice/suggestions from old hands on Facebook.

I get enough compliments on the virtual reunion, but it could be much better if it had more of your information on it.  I would be more than happy to make any of you 'author/contributors', which allows you to make your own posts.  as 'members' you can (only) comment to other persons posts ... mostly mine.

Anybody who has questions about Drangedal/Naas lines is always welcome to ask me to look if I have the person and line in my Ancestry tree.  It is also possible for me to invite you to see my tree, without being a member of Ancestry.com, but I need your email address to do it, if you are not already a member.  You do have to register with Ancestry and create a password, but you DO NOT have to join or pay anything.  They will invite your to 'free trials' etc, but you do not have to join.  As always, I wish you the best.
